Prairie Dropseed (Sporobolus heterolepis) likes average, well-drained soil. It has airy spikes of fragrant, pale pink flowers that bloom in late summer and early fall. Mature seed heads turn a beautiful golden yellow. The emerald, green foliage is fine-textured, turning golden/orange in fall in a clump forming, upright habit. Great to use in prairie or border garden or for mass planting. Spreading 12″-15″ with a flowering height of 30″-36″.
