Possumhaw Viburnum (Viburnum nudum) is a deciduous shrub that will add joy to your property all year. Its wavy-edged leaves provide more vibrant autumnal colors than others in its genus, and you’ll find clusters of ivory saucer-shaped flowers decorating it in the spring. In late summer and early fall, the drupes are enjoyed by songbirds and small mammals. Possumhaw Viburnum is a larval host plant for the Spring Azure Butterfly (shown above) and Hummingbird Clearwing. The plant is fairly adaptable, but prefers sun and moist, well-drained soils. It can grow to be 5-12 feet tall and wide, so it is a great choice for a privacy or border plant.

Direct Native Plants ships from our nurseries in Middle River, Maryland, and Woodstock, Illinois. Orders are shipped via FedEx Ground from these locations and typically arrive at most destinations within two (2) business days from the day they ship.

To get your plants to you as quickly and efficiently as possible, we ship orders based on current inventory availability and your proximity to our nurseries. This helps ensure faster delivery and the best experience for your order. In some cases, items in the same order may ship from different locations.
