Fetterbush (Lyonia lucida) is an evergreen shrub with a dense, arching form. It grows naturally in moist to wet areas with seasonal flooding, making it a good candidate for native rain gardens. Its small, fragrant, bell-shaped, drooping flowers grow in clusters and attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. The blooms are typically white, but can also be pinkish-red. Due to its dense growth habit, Fetterbush provides important cover for wildlife and is commonly used as a hedge or privacy screen.
